New tiles and diverter

We are all ready for the plumbing and tile work to get started on the bathroom!  John the handyman came over recently and removed a tile so Jeff and I could take it to Lowe’s to get tiles of the same size.  Lowe’s does not carry a huge assortment of tile so we stuck with a safe bet and picked out white!  It will look good with the rest of the current turquoise tile and white walls.  (photos are now hosted on flickr, click them if you want to see them bigger!)

We also purchased the new diverter to replace the crummy leaking one, along with a new shower head and handle.  All three items came in a pack together and we picked Delta because it was a good price and the package said it is guaranteed for life!  At the store they told us Delta and Moen are the best brands for faucets and similar items.

The work starts Tuesday September 29th.  John will have to spread the work over two days or possibly three.  We’ll see how much he gets done on Tuesday.  I can’t wait for it to be done, no more taking showers in the basement!  The basement bathroom is really nice, but it’s still inconvenient to have to go down there.  Jeff likes the bathroom though, he says he’ll still use it even after we get this work done.  Imagine that, we each have our own bathroom!  Pretty cool!

Lucky YOU! It always been a dream of mine for Dad and me to each have our own bathroom! So you get that setup after only one year married, and I’m still working on it after 35 yrs!
